DM-1001 är en digital mikrofon med AES/EBU och S/PDIF outputs.

 

Mikrofonen anvönder Milabs rektangulära, stora, dubbelmembranskapsel. De två kapselmembranen har sina egna AD-konverterare. Efter det går signalen till en DSP. Det är detta som gör Milabs unika lösning möjlig: I DSPn beräknas riktningskarakteristik genom en mix av de främre och bakre signalerna. Det finns också program för digital filtrering i DSPn.

 

Mikrofonen har en separat kontrollenhet. Kontrollenheten har en väljare för de riktningskarakteristiker som är standard.

 

Ett datorgränssnitt gör det möjligt att ansluta den egenutvecklade PC-mjukvaran. Med mjukvaran kan valet av riktningskarakteristik bestämmas och därefter sparas i kontrollenheten.
